Description Filipe Saraiva 2011-07-30 09:11:33 CEST
Hello Mageiaers,

Scilab initialization is crashing. Apparently, libtk8.6 is missing. See:

$ scilab
/usr/bin/scilab-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libtk8.6.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

But, in repository (x86_64), libtk is only lib64tk8.5 and, yes, it is installed.

Please, check it - my GSoC project depends of Scilab! :-)

Thanks.

So, I simply re-compile Scilab and worked.

Thanks.

I changed my Mageia Cauldron version to 32bits, and this bug exist in this version too. Please, is possible re-compile Scilab to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi,
I've been working on building the last version of scilab (5.3.3) since it's out.
It's really nearly done: it is actually blocked by the bs, this should be fixed before the end of the week. It's no more in my hands (the bs as to be fixed, not scilab :) )

the build I made of the previous version was not perfect, I did my best to make this one better.

Thanks for you patience :)
