Hello, I have tried to create a rpm of the iridium browser for mageia 6 but i have a lot of problems...because i'm not programer and i'm not good with the python langage. Can you test it with a iridium.src.rpm at thee follow link or with the attachment? (source pcoslinux http://ftp.riken.jp/Linux/pclinuxos/srpms/SRPMS.pclos/) Thank you very much
i have problems with the macros of directory and brp-python-hardlink...
Try with the fedora's srpm https://dl.iridiumbrowser.de/fedora_27/iridium-browser-67-1.fc27.src.rpm
Setting version to Cauldron, because new packages must be added there, first. When it's in Cauldron, you can reopen this request and ask to backport it to stable. Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager

Iridium wants to be a "browser securing your privacy". In fact this browser is a security nightmare. Iridium is based on hopelessly outdated chromium versions with hundreds of unpatched vulnerabilities. Basic security mechanisms of every modern browser gets disabled on purpose in Iridium. Hopefully this never gets packaged for Mageia. Closing WONT.
