When using Shotwell in french (with Mageia installed in French), not all the menu items are translated. An other example is in the "Étiquettes" menu when "Add Tags" and "Modify tags" are not translated. There are several other examples in the software.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always, when using Shotwell in French.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Shotwell in a French installation of Mageia 6.

I see the same issue in Cauldron with Dutch

That is actually something that should be handled upstream. Like for French here:

https://l10n.gnome.org/vertimus/shotwell/master/po/fr/level1/

However, I can't find your examples in the po file
https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/shotwell.master/shotwell.master.fr.po

So those strings are not translatable, yet.

I didn't manage to find an upstream bug report about the issue... would you have time to file one here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi and after that add the link to that bug report to this report here?

I can report this bug upstream but, for french translation, I have seen that most of them have been fixed in Cauldron. Mageia 6 version of shotwell is 0.26.2 when Cauldron version is 0.28.3.

Only one translation is missing for French in Cauldron.

According to the answers given in the upstream bug, missing translations are work to do, not bugs. So we have to wait for new shotwell versions and hope translations will be completed.

Mageia 6 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2019-09-30. It is no longer
maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug
fix updates.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan
to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to
a later Mageia version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we
weren't able to fix it before Mageia 6's end of life. If you are able to
reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click
on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent
Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them
obsolete.

If you would like to help fixing bugs in the future, don't hesitate to join the
packager team via our mentoring program [1] or join the teams that fit you
most [2].
