Description Dave Hodgins 2018-06-08 08:04:42 CEST
When bootloader-config runs while installing a new kernel, the system crashed
after running out of memory and swap (16GB ram, 32GB swap).

Similar to bug 5036, this was due to an iso copied to a usb stick that has the
start sector set to 0 for the partition. Instead of reporting too many
partitions, it goes into a loop eating memory till the system crashes.

Encountered this when installing a new kernel for testing, with the iso from
https://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/krd2018 having been copied to a usb
stick. It's a hybrid iso with the start sector set to zero in the partition
table.

Is this still valid in Mageia 7? Cauldron?

Confirmed still present using current krd.iso from the kaspersky site.
