That is weird, it should have suggested to create a user on reboot :-( All the officially released isos are tested by many people from our QA team, we don't release isos when one of our testers hits such a problem! Can you please tell us where you downloaded the iso? Please try whether logging in as user "live" with no password works. Even if that doesn't: since you did set a root password (I'm amazed that you set it during install, wasn't that after rebooting?), please switch to tty2 with ctrl+alt+F2, login as root and run: journalctl -ab1 > live_install.txt and journalctl -ab2 > first_reboot.txt and attach those files to this bug report. If they are too large to attach, then please compress them with xz Thanks :-)
