After update to iwlwifi-firmware-20180518-1.mga6.nonfree.noarch wlan is unable to connect. With downgrading to iwlwifi-firmware-20180211-1.mga6.nonfree.noarch everything is fine again. With the 20180518 I get this log: Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 59.475970] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 59.711408] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 59.787644] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 59.821923] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 60.057299] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:03:01 localhost kernel: [ 60.133710] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.322994] wlan0: authenticate with 24:65:11:38:d5:2a Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.324101] wlan0: send auth to 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (try 1/3) Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.330114] wlan0: authenticated Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.330145] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0 wlan0: disabling HT/VHT due to WEP/TKIP use Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.331736] wlan0: associate with 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (try 1/3) Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.337292] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=1) Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.339670] wlan0: associated Jun 6 14:03:02 localhost kernel: [ 60.401084] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): wlan0: link becomes ready => no connection, timeout with 20180211 I get: Jun 6 14:14:41 localhost kernel: [ 759.150023] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:41 localhost kernel: [ 759.385496] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:41 localhost kernel: [ 759.461812] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready Jun 6 14:14:53 localhost kernel: [ 771.437462] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:53 localhost kernel: [ 771.673461] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:53 localhost kernel: [ 771.749649] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready Jun 6 14:14:53 localhost kernel: [ 771.782395] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.017563] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Radio type=0x1-0x3-0x1 Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.093789] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.260611] wlan0: authenticate with 24:65:11:38:d5:2a Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.262083] wlan0: send auth to 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (try 1/3) Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.265745] wlan0: authenticated Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.265785] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0 wlan0: disabling HT/VHT due to WEP/TKIP use Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.266219] wlan0: associate with 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (try 1/3) Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.272141] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 24:65:11:38:d5:2a (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=1) Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.274348] wlan0: associated Jun 6 14:14:54 localhost kernel: [ 772.321615] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): wlan0: link becomes ready => connection is available

Did you check rfkill status? sudo rfkill list
CC: (none) => zen25000
Can you attach full dmesg from boot with both old and new iwlwifi-firmware package
CC: (none) => tmb
Sorry, it looks like the newer kernel fixed that issue. Thanks for your help.
