I have not tried this as part of a "Grand Update," but I have installed the updated packages and used them on my already-updated Plasma system, which includes some 32-bit packages related to a 32-bit install of an old Google Earth, with no ill effects. All packages installed cleanly, with no conflicts. So far I can see no change in operations.

Ok installing here, though also not as part of grand update. Validating the update.
