None of the advanced hardware here but the new driver works fine with DisplayPort.
System: Host: difda Kernel: 4.14.34-desktop-1.mga6 x86_64
Graphics: Card: NVIDIA GM204 [GeForce GTX 970]
           Resolution: 3840x2160@30.00hz
           GLX Renderer: GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2
           GLX Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 390.48

Ran glmark2, and stellarium reproduced the view out of my window. The Mate desktop is running OK, vlc video, firefox and thunderbird.

Mate desktop running smoothly and all graphical utilities. Ran glmark2.
Comment 3 Thomas Andrews 2018-05-01 14:17:17 CEST
None of my hardware uses nvidia-current, but all of it, as far as I know, uses ldetect.lst.

If I were to update just that, would it be helpful here? And if I were to update it, how would I tell if it's actually still working?
