The "drakrpm-update" program crashed. Drakbug-17.88.1 caught it.

There is another issue on Mga6.  This causes a hang when Closing a window like Kpatience, KMahjongg, Seamonkey,  Princeton Wordnet and several others.  This also happens when switching between apps on different workspaces.  Slightly irritating, not worth a bug report as I cannot debug it seriously excepting maybe video of the events.  
This led to an earlier Shut Down this morning as a work around.  Left the machine off for a while (30 minutes?)  Then Power button start.

For the same/related reason I do this.
On boot screen Arrow Down to Advanced options, Enter.
Then Arrow Down to Recovery mode, Enter.
Control D when prompted.  Issue cleared.  Boot up success always.

Then, as normal, upon gaining Internet access, the update prompt came up and I responded.
All OK, fast speeds on downloads.  So lost interest, fell asleep.  Hands off.
Woke to find the progress bar stuck half way,  Top and bottom.  Message below; Preparing . . . .

Waited. . .   Clicked cross arrow top right corner;
Dialog; App is busy, Abort? Yes|No options.
Did not respond, no click, no tap.  Next it crashed spontaneously.
