I used Mageia-Cauldron-netinstall-nonfree-x86_64.iso to install Mageia Cauldron, but boot stops at "Starting Terminate Plymouth Boot Screen", see the screenshot.

Note that 3D is disabled in the VM and I use only one CPU for this VM, due to bug 21553.

Please attach /root/drakx/report.bug.xz

Do you manage to boot in multi-user mode?

If so, please become root and run

   journalctl -b1 > log.txt

and attach log-txt to this report, too (compress with xz if it's too large)

Thanks :-)

I cannot.

I cannot. Recovery mode doesn't work either.

Here is what I get when using the recovery mode.

And booting that computer using a Mageia 6 Live medium, does that work?

If it does, that should enable you to grab /root/drakx/report.bug.xz from that bad install.

I'm using a VM.

Let's merge it with bug 22266.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 22266 ***

You can boot live media (.iso) in a VM. Just add another drive in the VM and boot using the LIVE in that drive. You can then mount the failed root partition in the LIVE session.

Why merge this with bug 22266?
That bug is about failure to install, this is about failure to boot after install.
