Description of problem: libftdi1 is currently version 1.2 which was released in 2014. A number of improvements and fixes as well as support for more recent FTDI chips (like the FT230X) have been added since. @ Herbert You might want to do this yourself: the registered maintainer has been inactive for quite a while now and I haven't seen him request a password reset when all packagers needed a reset. Note that the package needs to be updated in cauldron, first. I think that the support for recent chips allows to push it to updates_testing (instead of backports_testing) for Mageia 6. Assigning to all packagers collectively, since the registered maintainer for this package is most likelly still unavailable. CC'ing the maintainer. Cheers, Marja
