Description of problem: I can't get run a parallel-port printer via pp-usb-adapter. After some research on the problem, I figured out that the "usblp" module is missing in the mageia kernel Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 1 kernel 2.6.38.7 How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Thomas, could you please take a look why usblp is still disabled? It is need for some proprietary drivers as well as for usb-parallell-adapters as in this case. CUPS should be able to handle both cases, we have a patch for that.

It was disabled since the cups problem started, and no-one has requested it to be enabled again after cups was fixed (until now) I have re-enabled it in SVN for all kernels in Mageia 1 and Cauldron I will push a new kernel to core/updates_testing later this week
