Description of problem: Since latest Cauldron updates, I can't retrieve from my Gmail account using Evolution The reported error was “IMAP server imap.googlemail.com does not support Google authentication”. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): [rfox@ThinkFox ~]$ rpm -qa | grep evolution evolution-data-server-3.27.91-1.mga7 evolution-data-server-tests-3.27.91-1.mga7 evolution-3.26.5-1.mga7 How reproducible: Every time I check e-mail, get errors as above Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Evolution 2. Fails on IMAP request to Google 3.
Probably because you have a mixed set of different versions of evolution pkgs. Please update all to same and latest version to see if it fixes the issue.

Assigning to the gnome maintainer(s) anyway, it may be possible to prevent getting such a mixed set of evolution packages.

I updated Evolution much later than e-d-s. Usually that's ok (doesn't harm). This might also be gnome-online-accounts. I'll upgrade a few more packages, hopefully it's one of these.

Unfortunately, it's not fixed - I now get the authentication diaog to login to Google, but it works only once - when I close Evolution and reopen it - i have to authenticate once again - I also get the following error: Failed to authenticate: Data source “robert.l.fox@gmail.com” does not support OAuth 2.0 authentication
I deleted the mail account and reconfigured - it seem to work now without issue! Thx
