Mageia 6 provide OpenCV 2, which become old now even if project continue to support this branch. Last OpenCV 3.4 is out in December 2017 and become stable for production. This include also a lots of improvements and fixes compared to version 2. Client application as digiKam support currently 2 and 3 but main future release will switch definitively to OpenCV 3. https://opencv.org/ It will be great to provide opencv 3 RPM, to replace version 2 or at least in provide version 3 in parallel than version 2 if possible.

Any progress in this file ? digiKam 6.0.0-beta1 is just released, and this version has removed the legacy openCV 2.x support in favor of OpenCV 3.x Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier

It's been on 3.4.1 in Cauldron since April, but it still needs to be updated again to 3.4.5. I looked at updating it but there are a lot of changes in Fedora to resync it; someone else will have to handle it. CC'ing KDE team because of the digikam mention. We do have the 6.0.0 beta in SVN but it hasn't been built yet.

Hi all, I already tested with Mageia7 beta1, and all last updates, all digiKam source code compile fine with openCV 3.x Note : i know that digiKam code do not compile yet with OpenCV 4, but we will fix it later... best Gilles Caulier
