Mageia 6, x86_64 Did not understand the reproducer procedure in the initial bug report so simple launched the application: $ monitor-parse-edid Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated, passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/.*? = { <-- HERE / at /bin/monitor-parse-edid line 58. Updated the package. $ monitor-parse-edid & [1] 9418 $ sudo journalctl | grep mga-bg-res There was nothing reported for the time the command was run but there were oldr messages from the pre-update test.
