Please try to reproduce this problem with Mageia 6 final, Mageia 6 RC is obsolete.

If the problem doesn't exist with Mageia6 final, then please close this bug report.

_If_ this happens with Mageia 6 final, too, then please:

* if you used traditional installer:

** in step 1, during installation, _after_ partitioning and formatting
(so before you select a Desktop Environment):
*** Switch to tty2 with 'Ctrl-Alt-F2')
    plug in a USB key
type "bug" and then press Enter.
*** Compress report.bug that was written to the USB key with xz:
    xz report.bug
*** Attach report.bug.xz to this bug report and mention it's about the failed
    MGa6 install

** Repeat the above for step 3 and when you attach Mageia5.1's report.bug.xz,
mention it is about the good Mga5.1 install and attached for comparison.

If you used Live isos:

** in your step 1, during installation, _after_ partitioning and formatting
*** Switch to tty2 with 'Ctrl-Alt-F2'),
    login as "live" (no password)
    type "su"
    type "journalctl -ab > log.txt"
    type "xz log.txt"
*** Attach log.txt.xz to this bug report and mention it's about the failed
    MGA6 install

** Repeat the above for step 3 and when you attach Mageia5.1's log.txt.xz,
mention it is about the good Mga5.1 install and only attached for
   comparison.

This looks suspiciously like bug #22059. Try this:

1. Start the installer and proceed to the Desktop selection stage
2. Press Ctrl-Alt-F2. This should switch to a screen with a command line prompt.
3. Enter the command 'udevadm trigger' (without the quotes).
4. Press Ctrl-Alt-F7. This should switch back to the installer GUI.
5. Continue with the installation.

Does this fix the bug?

Ok, that is good.
I hope MGA 6.x Version or 7 Version does not have this bug.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 6 is end of life.

Mageia stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 6. At that time this bug will be closed as OLD (EOL).

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later
Mageia version prior to Mageia 6's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we cannot
be able to fix it before Mageia 6 was end of life.
If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime,
sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia
release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
