Description of problem: This is not really an RPM problem. This has happened a few times now. At first it opened 6-7 new windows. Usually I leave the laptop manually locked overnight. This morning I entered the Password with no response. Mga simply hung. OK, button shut down, button boot up after 10 seconds. Then, oh yes, Inow have to boot by Advanced options in recovery mode. Right now that is not serious as I can work around it. Press Ctrl-D when needed and the boot completes. I suspect these issues may be related, but know too little about it to file a bug. I suspect it to be in the distro, but cannot pin-point it. Out of simple curiosity - the start-up took noticeably quite some time - I dragged the KPatience windows to different Work Spaces. I have 18 shown in the partial screenshot I took. You will see there are 17 instances of KPatience. I will attach it to a post in Forums with the correct bug report reference as I cannot attach a file here. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Shipped with the Mageia 6 ISO release How reproducible: Every cold start up Steps to Reproduce: 1. Cold boot. 2. Recovery mode 3. Login Password.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 6 is end of life. Mageia stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 6. At that time this bug will be closed as OLD (EOL). Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 6's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we cannot be able to fix it before Mageia 6 was end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- Mageia Bugsquad
