Description Morgan Leijström 2017-09-10 22:50:23 CEST
Steps to Reproduce:
1. When I head my browser to https://www.mageia.org/,
2. I get forwarded to https://www.mageia.org/sv/,
3. - which say the page does not exist.

What should happen: Either present a swedish page if such exist, else present an english page. Virtually all swedish people are very good at english as it is taught much in school since a hundred years, (... plus we IMHO lazily import too many english series on TV...)

Workaround: User can forcibly select the english page https://www.mageia.org/en/ - if he thinks of it.

Also sometimes while browsing some other Mageia page that are english only, like https://bugs.mageia.org/ , the banner is in swedish, and if i there click "Gemenskap" (Community) i get https://www.mageia.org/sv/community/ which again does not exist.

( I noticed this maybe months ago but then forgot to report, sorry. )

As reported by filip on the atelier ml, it's a server issue (works fine here)

Maybe we can add add directly the workaround ?
(but don't know how yet)

It seems most pages in Swedish version of the website are symlinks to English ones:

http://gitweb.mageia.org/web/www/tree/sv?id=cb461142d6ae7e33482f14446131c92e8ca5c386

Maybe something needs to be done to allow following symlinks

Hmm other languages with similar setup work.
Comment 5 Samuel Verschelde 2017-09-13 11:16:07 CEST
I think this might be because of :

tmb.test.conf:#<Directory /srv/wiki/sv/images>
tmb.test.conf:Alias /sv /srv/wiki/sv/index.php
tmb.test.conf:#Alias /mw-sv /srv/wiki/sv
Comment 6 Pascal Terjan 2017-09-13 11:20:08 CEST
Yes, I had just fixed it :)
Comment 7 Filip Komar 2017-09-13 11:22:11 CEST
Great, Pascal. Thanks to Samuel too.
