Ok, so you used the upstream rpm and need a Mageia package for webmin-1-850 http://www.webmin.com/changes.html lists: Version 1.850 (28th June 2017) Fixed multi-hostname DNS registration and the display of error messages in Let's Encrypt support. Numerous Majordomo module improvements, thanks to gnadelwartz. Added support for creating and editing port forwards in the FirewallD module. Filesystems that have less than 1% free disk space are now shown on the System Information page. Numerous bugfixes across multiple modules. That sounds mostly like a bug fix release, I think it would be OK to package webmin-1-850 for our stable releases (and cauldron, of course). Assigning to all packagers collectively, since there is no registered maintainer for webmin.

There are no security fixes and nothing compelling about this update otherwise. Indeed you shouldn't try to update it yourself from upstream as our package has adaptations to make it work. One of those is a patch to disable the update notification, which obviously has broken again. If someone can provide a working patch to do that, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll wait until the next security update to update this for Mageia 6.
