Description of problem: using Xfce, I am unable to change application colors in LIbreoffice Writer. The pulldown box quickly flashes and closes, no allowing the user to choose a different color from the color picker widget. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): MGA 6, X86_64, Xfce, Libreoffice 5.3.4.2-3 NOTE: this works in Gnome (x.org) without issue. Hardware: Radeon graphics engine How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Libreoffice Writer 2. Tools | Options | Libreoffice | Application Colors 3. Click on pulldown Box - the screen will flash with color picker for a second and then closes. Note: this was a fresh application build of MGA 6, not an upgrade.
Does it still work in Gnome? I just tried to reproduce this in cauldron (XFCE), using the TraditionalOk theme. On my first attempt everything worked fine: I was able to change a color. 2nd and 3rd attempt gave the same bug as you had. Then, after clicking "Reset" it worked again, after which it did again stop working and I had to restart LO writer and click Reset several times before it decided to work again.

HI Marja, Yes, once in awhile I could get it respond, but it was the exception.
Brian doesn't have this issue in Gnome and I can't reproduce this issue in Plasma5 We've only seen this in Xfce, so assigning to the Xfce maintainer.

Assigning back to bug squad. Can't see how this is related to Xfce. Might be GTK theme related, though. Xfce uses TraditionalOK from mate-themes src.rpm.

Xfce uses TraditionalOK from mate-themes src.rpm. Thanks for the explanation. Our mate maintainer is currently unavailable, so assigning to all packagers collectively, but CC'ing him.

I can confirm what Jani wrote: It's the default Xfce GTK theme, TraditionalOK. Using Adwaita (settings -> appearances) solves this issue.

Thanks - will attempt this later this afternoon. Brian
Confirmed - changing theme corrects the issue. Thanks for researching this everyone. Does someone fix the theme or do I just avoid it?

Reassigning to all packagers collectively as the original maintainer is not available anymore (thanks for all your work Atilla!).
