Description of problem: When logged in as Root, an attempt to log out does not complete. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ? How reproducible: (Circumstances: Needed to log in as Root as system would not accept user p/w) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot system (64-bit Plasma Mageia-6 Classic install) 2. Log in as Root (e.g. if unable to log in as user) 3. Then try to log out. What then appears on screen (frozen - apart from blinking cursor) is: " [OK] Started Command Scheduler Starting Hold until boot process finishes up... [ 27.8925891] xt_addrtype: ipv6 does not BROADCAST matching" - (blinking cursor)" N.B. If a normal user is also logged in, then using Ctl-Alt-F1 will flip over to the Root screen, as shown above.
please, after failing to log out as root again, run: journalctl -ab > log.txt and attach log.txt to this bug report

Created attachment 9551 [details] journalctl -ab after Root logout
N.B. Root was 1st login, then added user, then back to Root session and logged out. Screen turned to black with just cursor blinking in top LH corner (no text this time). Could Ctl+Alt+F2 back to user. From there Ctl+Alt+F1 goes back to screen with single cursor.
(In reply to Maurice Batey from comment #2) > Created attachment 9551 [details] > journalctl -ab after Root logout Sorry, I should have asked you to run that command as root :-( Do you mind running it again, and obsoleting the current attachment when you attach the new log file?
Sorry, I'm away from base. Will do that on return on Monday..
Just tried again - the problem seems to have disappeared, possibly due to some intervening s/w update, so if no one else has it I guess this can be closed...
