Installing zynaddsubfx works fine, but once installed I cannot find it in Plasma's applications menu. If I type its name, I get three items (Zynaddsubfx, Controller and Spliter), but none of them are shown in the menus. I searched in the KDE Menu Editor but there are nowhere. However, running them from the search results works fine.
Is it still not there after logging out and back in?

No. I can get it by searching its name, and even add it to my favourites, but it still appears nowhere else.
Here on my system mga6 (plasma 5) I see the 3 items in the plasma menu in "Application -> Sound and Video -> More"

Oh, you're right! In fact, I deleted the "more" undermenu some time ago. By restoring the default applications menu I could find zynaddsubfx and both related programs. So it seems that if there is no "more" undermenu, installing a program supposed to appear in such an undermenu won't make it appear anywhere. By the way, why are some programs placed in "more" undermenus? Couldn't they be shown in the category's menu directly? For example, in the Multimedia menu I have Audacity which is in "more", in the Internet menu it is Qupzilla, the two other browsers (Firefox and Konqueror) being in the normal menu. I don't understand this...

Closing because this was caused by my own menu remodelling. However the default menu organisation should be improved.
