lyx starts well, but by using patterns ("neu von Vorlage" in german language) like "dinbrief"or "aa.lyx" and other I get a wrong function. By opening lyx in text-mode I get (for example): ../../../src/support/lassert.cpp(21): ASSERTION contains(fmt, from_ascii("%1$s")) VIOLATED IN ../../../src/support/lstrings.cpp:1162
~]$ lyx ../../../src/support/lassert.cpp(21): ASSERTION contains(fmt, from_ascii("%1$s")) VIOLATED IN ../../../src/support/lstrings.cpp:1162 ../../../src/support/lassert.cpp(21): ASSERTION contains(fmt, from_ascii("%1$s")) VIOLATED IN ../../../src/support/lstrings.cpp:1162 Application asked to unregister timer 0x5a000007 which is not registered in this thread. I am traveling and will take care of this when I return home.
There are three issues in the bug report: 1. Error message when using Lyx from a command: I don't get any errors 2. New document from template -> dinbrief.lyx I don't get any problems either 3. New document from template -> aa.lyx the aa.cls is missing. Per the <help -> Additional Features Section 5.1.1 A&A Paper one should install the aa.cls file provided on their web site.
I don't see the problems here FOR dinwith the 1 release version lyx-1.6.8-3.mga1.i586.rpm I am going to close this as invalid
