Description of problem: In Plasma System Settings -> Hardware -> Removable Storage there are no calls for using VLC to play a DVD. In Mageia 5 the calls are: Open with Video Player (Dragon Player) dragon --play-dvd Open with VLC media player vlc vcd://%25d Open with VLC media player vlc cdda://%25d Open with VLC media player vlc dvd://%25d Open with VLC media player vlc bluray://%25d In Mageia 6 there are no VLC media player calls to play a DVD and it looks like this: Open with Video Player (Dragon Player) dragon --play-dvd From what I'm seeing when the DVD in inserted the launch selection menu appears on the right hand bottom corner of the screen and it reports "7 actions for this device" none of which are for VLC. There is "Open with Video Player ( Dragon Player ). I'm struggling getting Dragon Player to play the DVD. Using VLC -> Media -> Open disc -> tick "No disc menus" -> Play that works just fine. So to Plasma System Settings -> Hardware -> Removable Storage I added: Open Video Player (VLC) vlc dvdsimple:///dev/sr0 (command) and I can select that and launch the DVD without menus. Did the "Open with VLC media player" selections get left out for a reason or forgotten?

Looks like this bug was because KDE solid changed the paths. Please test vlc-3.0.5-2 in updates_testing to ensure the bug is fixed for you like it was for me.
