Description of problem: I have compiled Imprudence from the latest code that I downloaded from git & as I come to typing python develop.py build I can't get any further than 43%. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.7.1-6 How reproducible: Everytime. Steps to Reproduce: 1. First check this bug to make sure the build can begin: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2113 2. Now cd to Desktop/imprudence/linden/indra/ 3. Type python develop.py build as the Imprudence-wiki tell you to. 4. Mine stops at 43%, does yours do the same?
Kernel involved is 2.6.38.8-desktop-4.mga

Created attachment 647 [details] Here's the whole output of building
The problem is that line: /usr/lib64/libxml2.so.2: undefined reference to `gzopen64@ZLIB_1.2.3.3'

How can it be solved?
I talked to the Python-guys & they said that Python isn't responsible for this issue, I guess they're right.
There's a commit available here: https://github.com/ArminW/imprudence/commit/7ee2e92d61ee4138e31906efe7ac69b29684d1b4
If you go to imprudence/linden/indra & delete all the libzo-related files you'll get passed 43%, but it stops at 90%. The error is this: cc1plus: warnings being treated as errors /home/kristoffer/Skrivbord/Imprudence-source-1.4.0-beta-1/linden/indra/newview/llviewerobjectlist.cpp: I memberfunction "void LLViewerObjectList::updateApparentAngles(LLAgent&)": /home/kristoffer/Skrivbord/Imprudence-source-1.4.0-beta-1/linden/indra/newview/llviewerobjectlist.cpp:642:34: error: operation on "((LLViewerObjectList*)this)->LLViewerObjectList::mCurBin" could be undefined make[2]: *** [newview/CMakeFiles/imprudence-bin.dir/llviewerobjectlist.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished job... make[2]: Leaving directory "/home/kristoffer/Skrivbord/Imprudence-source-1.4.0-beta-1/linden/indra/viewer-linux-x86_64-relwithdebinfo" make[1]: *** [newview/CMakeFiles/imprudence-bin.dir/all] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory "/home/kristoffer/Skrivbord/Imprudence-source-1.4.0-beta-1/linden/indra/viewer-linux-x86_64-relwithdebinfo" make: *** [all] Error 2 make: Leaving directory "/home/kristoffer/Skrivbord/Imprudence-source-1.4.0-beta-1/linden/indra/viewer-linux-x86_64-relwithdebinfo" Error: the command 'make' exited with status 2
Summary: Building Imprudence Viewer only gets to 43% & then stops => Building Imprudence Viewer only gets to 90% & then stops
@ Kristoffer It's three months and lots of updates later. Did that change or solve anything?

Nope. The problem is still in Mageia.
What more info is needed?
(In reply to comment #10) > What more info is needed? Hi Kristoffer, If it isn't a python issue, what other possibilities are there? I can only see two: a flaw in imprudence or an error you made. To tell you the truth, when I first saw this report I thought you were a packager because you're on this list http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packaging#list_of_registered_people but I can't find you maintain any packages, so I don't have a reason any more to keep this report open in spite of the rules. Well, maybe not sticking to the rules isn't good, anyway. Closing this Bug report, because imprudence isn't supported.
