Mozilla has released Thunderbird 52.2.1 today (June 23): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/52.2.1/releasenotes/ It fixes serious bugs with Gmail. We should probably update it at least for Cauldron.

x86_64 Mate on real hardware. Updated Thunderbird. en_GB Incoming messages OK, saving to local folders, Calendar OK, setting reminders looks fine. Address book complete. Sent a message to myself, automatically encrypted. Received OK and could be decrypted using the passphrase. OK for 64-bits.
