Description Paweł Susicki 2017-06-16 11:13:45 CEST
http installation from mirror
selected two languages: en, pl
"manual/expert" partitions setup
error: missing /tmp/compssUsers.pl at the beginning of intallation

there was simple workaround: to create empty file before the message appears,
using Alt-F2 console.

but this time there was no console with bash on any terminal screen

@ Pawel,

Can you please reproduce this issue and, when you see the error again, switch to tty2 again, insert a USB-key and type:

           bug

That will put report.bug on the USB key

Please attach that file to this bug report.

If it is too large to attach, then please compress it with xz

          xz report.bug

and then attach report.bug.xz

Thanks :-)

bug reproduced on virtualbox

The same procedure performed on virtual machine.
Difference: this time there was shell available on Alt-F2.
Comment 3 Paweł Susicki 2017-06-18 00:16:12 CEST
report.bug showed the file was not served properly via httpd server.
reason was interference of .pl suffix with cgi scripts.
problem with missing Alt-F2 bash console was not reproduced.

Resolution: (none) => FIXED
Status: NEW => RESOLVED
