Description of problem: After a successful upgrade from KDE to Plasma on Cauldron it proved impossible to logout from the desktop by any means. An apology was presented saying ksmserver-logout-greeter could not be opened. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 6 in testing How reproducible: Not sure, but there seems to be no way to exit the desktop gracefully. Shall try an upgrade on another machine if I can find a KDE partition. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install latest Cauldron release (USB device, UEFI) as an upgrade on a KDE only partition. 2. Update the system if applicable. 3. From the desktop try the menu logout option or the panel icon.

An answer to "how reproducible": Tried an upgrade of a KDE partition on another machine and that functioned normally with respect to logout from the desktop. So not reproducible. Reducing the status to 'unconfirmed' but need to try this again on the original machine.

Apologies Marja. I guess this got lost because I hardly ever run KDE and cannot even remember which was the "original machine". It is definitely too old to be of interest.
