Hi, if i remember well, since Mageia 5 it's impossibile to hibernate my Laptop Samsung RC530 with 6 GB of SWAP. if i try to hibernate it the PC remains turned on with a black screen. Other than this feature not working, i have to force it shutdown. I hoped to resolve this issue with Mageia 6 (cauldron) but i still find this issue. thanks Cheers, Marcello
Does a normal plain shutdown work ? Does suspend (to RAM) and resume from it work ?

Hi Morgan, thank you for your reply. Normal shutdown and suspend to ram work fine. i've installed hibernate package from repositories but nothing has changed.

I have earlier seen similar issues on thinkpad T60 and T61 series, but it varies throughout the years. Current state here is that when going into hibernation it seem to save session and shut off, but immediately on again for a second then off, and on wake up it have forgotten the session. Now the T61 is broken and T60 in production so i dont want to fiddle with it. If someone invent an easy way to get a log from failing hibernation, we could try getting that log.
