As decided in bug 20953, I have uploaded owncloud version 9.1.6 to backports testing. The only rpm is a noarch owncloud-9.1.6-1.mga5

Testing upgrade like for previous version - see Bug 20961 Result: Test OK Comments: This time most of the applications needed update, and they downloaded etc automatically, i just had to click to activate, then click to start upgrade. Repeated for many apps... thet takes a while. Extra long time because it performs code integrity check after each app update. I believe it is the same integrity check that is run after ownCloud update? Most of it, it seem to do the same for every app...? I *guess* that if apps are not deactivated before OC upgrade, they will get updated all at once which will require less total time, but one long pass, and if something do not work it is harder for the operator to sort.

I now noticed that each time i go to the owncloud app admin page https://my.ser.ver.ip/owncloud/index.php/settings/apps , i get in the log two lines like: Error PHP Method OC_L10N_String::__toString() must return a string value at /usr/share/owncloud/lib/private/L10N/L10N.php#84 2017-06-11T22:24:00+00:00 Error PHP vsprintf(): Too few arguments at /usr/share/owncloud/lib/private/legacy/l10n/string.php#71 2017-06-11T22:24:00+00:00 I guess it is (only?) some localisation problem. I can see no bad things happening, but on the other hand i only use OC for filesharing. That exact message is asked about here: https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?t=37019, and first link in reply suggest it is a Ldap only issue, but i do not have ldap installed, and the ldap app " LDAP user and group backend " in OC is not activated. Anyhow, i cant think it is a Mageia package problem, so lets just skip it...
(Posting this comment also in bug 21066 as it concern both bugs) José, i saw you asked for removal of 9.1.6, in order to push 9.1.5, good :) Currently the packages owncloud and nextcloud do not conflict. - I think they should? I am about to reinstall 9.0.9 *fresh* and try updating from there.
9.0.9 installed fresh OK, https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20961#c10 Got file integrity check fail also on fresh install but i dont think we should care, see links in https://wiki.mageia.org/en/OwnCloud#Built_in_checks

*right now* a workaround to make migration from OC 9.1.6 to Nextcloud vill get tested by Nextcloud official. https://help.nextcloud.com/t/migration-from-owncloud-9-1-6-to-nextcloud-10-0-5-fails/13523/17

Another clean reinstall of OC 9.0.9 and then upgrade to 9.1.6 with a very clean error log, except the two strange: 1) Error PHP copy(/usr/share/owncloud/.user.ini): failed to open stream: No such file or directory at /usr/share/owncloud/lib/private/IntegrityCheck/Checker.php#194 2017-06-19T20:09:52+00:00 Yes /usr/share/owncloud/.user.ini do not exist. It is not in the rpm, and i have never created such. But i also did not see this error in earlier installs (maybe i did not check carefully though) The only info i could find about it now is https://doc.owncloud.org/server/9.0/admin_manual/configuration_files/big_file_upload_configuration.html#configuring-your-web-server Wher eit is said it is needed for php-fpm Well this system do not have php-fpm installed. 2) Warning files Can't write upload limit to /mnt/owncloud/tmp/oc_tmp_5eIn5j-folder/.user.ini. Please check the file permissions 2017-06-19T20:09:52+00:00 As i before starting it have issued chmod -R 770 /mnt/owncloud chown -R apache:apache /mnt/owncloud I cant see what permission problems there can be?? Maybe it is an erratic message trigged by 1) ?
Any idea from other testers?
9.1.5 pushed, let's test the upgrade path 9.1.5 -> 10.0.5
As José have pointed out other place, i have answered the user.ini problem already, before, in https://wiki.mageia.org/en/OwnCloud#-.3E_OwnCloud_9.0 ... Over to https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20953#c23
Validating.
