Mageia 1 Description of problem:Samsung SCX4623 is not in Cups, so the only option is to download and use the Samsung Unified Driver a tar.gz file, When the cdroot file is extracted and a terminal is opened as su and the directory and autorun file are entered terminal sets up the Samsung installation program, it allows partial information to be entered. however then causes Mageia to crash !! -back to logon.Following re entering logon id and password it sets up a Samsung icon on the desktop, however the printer is a default printer not the SCX4623F so no use at all.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download tar.gz Unified Linux Driver for SCX4623F
2.Open Terminal extract provides cd root and autorun, run installation 
3.Mageia crashes back to logon upon relogging wrong printer is installed

I think you should file a bug report upstream (since we don't ship the unified installer).
