Description of problem: As warned in i18n mailing list, translation of message "use non-free video drivers (slower to boot)" should be kept as short as possible, yet Chinese message is still being cut and missed last word even though it's already shorter than original English message. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mageia-gfxboot-theme-4.5.14.4-1.mga6 How reproducible: Only at boot screen of live media. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot a live-DVD media 2.press F2 and select "繁體中文(台灣)" 3.See the message The correct translation is "使用專有顯示驅動 (開機較慢)" But boot screen only show "使用專有顯示驅動 (開機較)"

The glyph for the missing character is not present in the font file. The font file needs to be regenerated (c.f. bug 5527). I've tried to do this, but I end up with a lot of differences in the existing glyphs. CC'ing Rémi, as he was the last person to do this.

Rebuilding the font file on a mga5 system results in minimal differences from the existing font file. So it seems font rendering has changed significantly in mga6. I could manually rebuild the font file and fix this bug now. But shouldn't this be done automatically when the package is built?

OK, as there was no reply, I've done a manual update. This may need to be redone if any new translations are added.
Looks like this one got fixed 3 years ago…
