Description Martin Ward 2017-05-24 21:12:17 CEST
Description of problem:

Updating from thunderbird-45.6.0-1.mga5 to thunderbird-52.1.0-1.mga5
causes the message window column headings to change format
and the horisontal lines in the composition window to turn black.

These messages appear on startup:

(thunderbird:13379): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed
(thunderbird:13379): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed
(thunderbird:13379): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed

Some screenshots showing the changes can be found here:
http://www.gkc.org.uk/thunderbird.html

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
thunderbird-52.1.0-1.mga5

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update from thunderbird-45.6 to thunderbird-52.1
2. Notice the changes in the windows.

The changes also appear when the .thunderbird directory is deleted: so they do not appear to be due to a local setting.

The changes do not appear on the OSX or Windows versions of thunderbird 52.1
The same changes appear in thunderbird-54.0b1.tar.bz2 downloaded from
the Thunderbird web site.

This is probably due to building against GTK3 instead of GTK2.

You may want to check your GTK theme instead.
