lets make it release blocker as can't be fixed before final and as it doesn't give a good user experience

btw, again an rpmsrate issue ? locales-fr is not remove while libreoffice-langpack-fr is (and not hunspell-fr firefox-fr etc)
This is happening because "Remove unneeded locales" is removing locales-en. libreoffice-core requires libreoffice-langpack-en which requires locales-en. Is locales-en supposed to be a special case, or is this a libreoffice packaging bug?

What about keeping locales-en ? A classical install take it too with the current language

(In reply to Manuel Hiebel from comment #6) > What about keeping locales-en ? > A classical install take it too with the current language Seems like that depends on where you select the language - see bug 20745. I don't know the background to this, so hesitate to change it.
Checking on a mga5 system, libreoffice-core used to require libreoffice-langpack, not libreoffice-langpack-en. @Thierry, was this change intentional or an accident?

In council meeting this evening it was decided that this isn't a release blocker, but having it in the errata is good enough.
Summary: Draklive: "Remove unneeded software" remove libreoffice => Draklive: "Remove unneeded software" removes libreofficePriority: release_blocker => Normal
Priority: Normal => High
Seems this came from a fedora sync... I've pushed a libreoffice-5.3.4.2-2.mga6 that restores mga5 behaviour: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1108694 So I'll assume it's fixed... Feel free to reopen if it still does not work...

It is fixed indeed. Tested on a running M6 live non-english, added an up-to-date mirror, updated the LO packages, started draklive-install. LO is not removed, the matching langpack was picked up, and the unneeded other langpacks removed. LO works as expected. Another test: on an installed system (English) with no LO installed, 'urpmi libreoffice' works as expected as well. Excellent :) Thank you so much to Manuel, Martin and Thomas.
