Hi, I tried to reproduce your problem on a fully updated Mageia 5 Virtualbox VM that only has LXDE and that uses French locale and was not able to get the segmentation fault. I tried without and then with the latest LXDE packages from updates_testing (pcmanfm-1.2.3-2.3.mga5, menu-cache-1.0.0-5.1.mga5 and lib64menu-cache3-1.0.0-5.1.mga5) and got the same result. I tried with an old user and a newly created one and got the same result. Do you get the segmentation fault each time you try? What is your locale? Do you use lxterminal to launch "mgaapplet --testing"? Best regards, Nico.

Hi Nico. thanks for looking into this so fast Last night when I tried to run the upgrade, i tried several times from lxterminal. I also logged out and back in, just in case, but the problem persisted. I logged out, changed desktops and then logged in, tried the upgrade and it it initiated correctly. how-ever tonight, after restoring the system, upgrading and initialising the upgrade again, it works perfectly...... so closing as invalid
