Description of problem: I'm seeing random ksmserver errors reported on all the M6 Plasma platforms I am testing. Screen captures attached. It's being reported in Login, Xfce and Plasma. It also seems it kinda goes away after I've used the install for awhile.

Could you add the cli output (as user) of $ journalctl -ab | grep ksmserver after the crash, and the same output after a normal successful login. So you might see what is missing. I think that ksmserver as a Plasma session manager should not start at all in Xfce. I will have a look. I myself use Xfce only with a dedicated separate user, and never with my default Plasma user. I encountered a ksmserver bug while typing a password in SDDM. At the same time no password worked, in SDDM nor in TTY.
