Description Marja Van Waes 2017-05-10 10:42:24 CEST
A user sent a mail last night to contact@m.o about being unable to register an account for forums and wiki. At first I thought he was talking about the forums being off-line and about bug #20813

However, trying to register a new account ends on this page
https://identity.mageia.org/register/check
with the message "(en) Please come back later" (and its translations)

I tried to register 3 different accounts, and, because used the e-mail addresses for two of them might have been used to create test accounts before, I tried to reset the account for one of those two.

In all cases I was advised to come back later.

Assuming the error I get locally is the same root cause as the problem you see, it's about the SSL certificate:

[error] Caught exception in CatDap::Controller::register->check "LDAP TLS error: SSL connect attempt failed error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.20.1/Catalyst/Model/LDAP.pm line 139."

Both creating a new account and resetting the password of an existing account works now, closing.

Thanks to whoever fixed it :-)
