I don't know whether this bug should be assigned to Compiz, or to Plasma. CC'ing Compiz & KDE maintainers.

Guessing it is OK to assign to the KDE maintainers, because daviddavid and neoclust have pushed compiz, too. @ Antonin Please test whether the issue still exists in a fully updated cauldron, with compiz-0.9.13.1-4.mga7 and plasma-5.12.1 etc.

No, this is not a supported way to use Plasma with compiz. At this time, upstream KDE/Plasma Developers do not recommend compiz anymore with Plasma 5. We can't provide such functionality Out-of-the-Box. Plasma's compositor is KWin, not Compiz. Compiz is now used by XFCE and MATE desktop. GNOME and Cinnamon rely on there own windows managers and compositors. But, to go back to the orginal problem, auto-hide feature for panels: With Mageia 7 default Plasma install: 1) right-click on empty area in Panel. 2) Modify panel... 3) More options in right. 4) Auto-hide can be selected here.
