Description of problem: When I open plasma widget Instant Messaging and try to configure Telegram I get the alert "unable to finish - Plasma" with this pop up: «This IM Account cannot be created - a Telepathy Connection Manager named 'morse' is missing or it cannot handle protocol 'telegram'. Please try installing morse with your package manager.» If I try to get "morse" with packet manager I get nothing. The file is probably telepathy-morse: https://github.com/TelepathyIM/telepathy-morse https://github.com/TelepathyQt/telepathy-morse Packet manager Give nothing with Telepathy-morse. Finally Google offer the right answer: telepathy-kde-accounts-kcm From this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ktp-contact-list/+bug/1512135 I suppose the lack of telepathy-morse file in telepathy-kde-accounts-kcm packet. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): plasma 5.8.6 Mageia 6 sta2. How reproducible: see upper Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

telepathy-morse is not packaged for Mageia and probably there is no sense to package it, because it's development stopped quite a long ago - last commits two or three years ago...

The duplicate bug 24778 contains information which might enable this bug to be fixed one way or another: integrate Telegram/telepathy into telepathy-kde-desktop-applets ; or more simply, remove reference to Telegram in that applet.
