Description of problem: Hardinfo is crashing if you click on the "Summary" function or on the "Input Devices" function. In addition, if lm_sensors has been installed and set up using the "sensors-detect" command, hardinfo crashes if you attempt to use the "Sensors" function. If lm_sensors is not installed, "Sensors" does nothing. Everything worked in Mageia 5. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): hardinfo 0.5.1-12mga6.x86_64 How reproducible: Always. On very different sets of hardware, so it's not likely to be a hardware-dependent problem. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install hardinfo, with or without lm_sensors. 2. Try to use it. 3. Labeling this as "Major," as it's a valuable diagnostic tool, and a good way to monitor things like system temperature.
Created attachment 9132 [details] txt of running hardinfo from Konsole This file is a capture of the messages received in konsole when running hardinfo. This is on a machine with lm_sensors installed. The first error message shows as soon as the app is run, before the user does anything. The second appears when "Summary" is clicked, and the app crashes. When run again, that first message appears again. The second appears when "Sensors" is clicked and the app crashes.
Created attachment 9133 [details] Capture when run on a machine without lm_sensors This file contains a capture from konsole when running on a machine without lm_sensors installed. The first section is as with the other attachment, up to the point where hardinfo crashes the first time. If run again, and lm_sensors has not been installed, clicking on "Sensors" does nothing. The next error message shows what happens when the user clicks on "Input Devices" and hardinfo again crashes.
@ Anssi Assigning to you, since you're registered as maintainer of hardinfo. However, afaics you never touched it... maybe you were only set as maintainer because you mentored doktor5000 when he imported hardinfo? CC'ing doktor5000 & all packagers collectively

I reported this when Mageia 6 was in Cauldron, well over a year ago. Nothing has happened, except that Mageia 6 was released. The bug is still valid. Changing the affected version, as I do not know if it is valid for the present Cauldron.
Version: Cauldron => 6
Appears to be fixed in Cauldron with version 0.6-0.git20181203.1.mga7. Is there any chance it could be backported/updated in Mageia 6?
