Description R Ghetta 2017-03-21 07:59:46 CET
Recently version 0.9.15 of EtherApe was released.
Mageia has 0.9.13, more than four years old.
There are several enhancements in newer releases and upgrading should be more or less a simple rebuild, with Mageia being a primary development platform with pre-built binaries,

Thanks for the notice.

It seems we have no registered maintainer for etherape, but the package looks relatively simple so I'll give it a try.

Should be fixed with etherape-0.9.15-1.mga6, http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1093887

As I'm not familiar with that application, a review wouldn't hurt, especially:
- the /etc/etherape file is no longer provided - is that expected?
- usermode-consoleonly is deprecated IINM, it should likely be changed to use pkexec

Yes, etherape used to provide a customized services file, now it just uses the system one
