Description Len Lawrence 2017-03-16 21:02:56 CET
Description of problem:
After a clean install of 6sta2 on a new laptop with a high resolution screen it was impossible to expand the panel because the preferences dialogue was not accessible (Right-click). This made the system unusable because the contents of the panel looked microscopic. Unfortunately I reverted to mga5.1 so cannot reproduce this. I was unable to read the error message anyway.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mageia-6-sta2-x86_64-DVD

How reproducible:
Not known but probably every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Cauldron with the Mate desktop from the latest 6sta2 iso
2. Right-click on top panel
3. Observe that the properties gui is not presented

Confirmed. Also, when panel is full it is not accessible either. I have reported this issue to upstream. Let's wait their response. (See: https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-panel/issues/569)

Reassigning to all packagers collectively as the original maintainer is not available anymore (thanks for all your work Atilla!).

Right-clicking on the panel now presents a popup where preferences can be set and the panel resized. The fault has definitely gone away.
