Description of problem: Since Plasma 5.8.6 update, if you overflow a desktop icon with the pointer, a square appears around it like it was selected, although it is not. That square won't go away until you move the icon. How reproducible: always Steps to reproduce: 1. Select folder view mode for destkop 2. Overflow any icon with the pointer
Confirmed, but that might be a transient issue as the update is not complete (most packages were pushed to core/updates_testing, only a handful made it by mistake into core/release).

i reproduce this issue with plasma 5.8.6

Seeing this on two very different sets of hardware. One is an HP laptop with i3 processor and integrated Intel graphics. The other is a desktop with an Athlon X2 processor and graphics using the nvidia340 driver.

A new Vbox client install today using: Mageia-Cauldron-netinstall-x86_64.iso 03/05/17 indicates that this issue continues. M6 repo appears to be quite settled in the last 24-hours.
Fixed in svn, a new rpm is now on the BS

Confirmed. The problem is now gone.
Update here to my M6 Plasma x86_64 test Vbox client has cured the problem.
