Details

Description Aurélien Murith 2017-03-09 16:03:42 CET
Description of problem:

Since Plasma 5.8.6 update, if you overflow a desktop icon with the pointer, a square appears around it like it was selected, although it is not. That square won't go away until you move the icon.

How reproducible: always

Steps to reproduce:

1. Select folder view mode for destkop
2. Overflow any icon with the pointer
Comment 1 Rémi Verschelde 2017-03-09 16:26:59 CET
Confirmed, but that might be a transient issue as the update is not complete (most packages were pushed to core/updates_testing, only a handful made it by mistake into core/release).

Confirmed here on any M6 Plasma desktop. This is with an up-to-date repo as of the date of this bug post.

Seeing this on two very different sets of hardware. One is an HP laptop with i3 processor and integrated Intel graphics. The other is a desktop with an Athlon X2 processor and graphics using the nvidia340 driver.

A new Vbox client install today using:

Mageia-Cauldron-netinstall-x86_64.iso 03/05/17

indicates that this issue continues. M6 repo appears
to be quite settled in the last 24-hours.

Update here to my M6 Plasma x86_64 test
Vbox client has cured the problem.
