i tried with oxygen, and breeze, same behaviour with both, and of course default one (create new user, then login) i reconfigured X11 from XFdrake , wayland is installed (but Plasma wayland does not seem to boot). Same issue with or without enabled compositor No logs found

I have the same problem when using LXQt (last time I checked was yesterday).
reinstall, just selecting plasma, upgrades with urpmi : all is ok, so probably an issue with wayland, i cannot confirm this last point, but it was the only difference

Released STA2 Classic ISO 6 desktops installation, real h/w with Radeon video. Comments just for Dolphin; one is never sure for other KDE applications (without explicit comparison of them under Plasma) whether icons are missing or not. It is also unclear where just a few icons are present whether they are some sort of desktop default 'where it can', or part of an incomplete set. Cinnamon: No icons. Gnome: Almost none. LXDE: Few. Mate: apparently complete, OK. Plasma: same! XFCE (could not find Dolphin in Tools menu): almost none. I will try again after that, and only add a comment if things improve subsequently. -------- When I raised bug 20415, it was specifically related to *KDE* applications losing icons under other [non-Plasma] desktops. If this is true, can we amend the title appropriately? I did not notice lost icons under other desktops for non-native applications, except KDE ones.
From my side it appears, as i guess again, after installing blackbox with cairo-dock LXqt did not have issue taking blackbox configuration cairo-diock icons displayed correctely , with sometimes some display issue: the image on lock screen or icons on cairo task bar was like an old hertzian tv without any installed channel (the war between black n white spot)
Classic64 RC 7 April all desktops Dolphin icons are still suspect. Plasma: present throughout; have to believe they are correct. LXDE, Mate: icons are present throughout. This may be genuinely OK, or the result of some default substitution. Say OK. Cinnamon, Gnome, XFCE: icons widely missing. In fact Dolphin is not even in the XFCE 'Tools' menu, but runs OK (icons apart).

I just done an upgrade M5->M6 through network. I encounter the same problem with systemsettings and dolphin. I did change the content of /home, nor the user.

Was any solution to these missings icons in dolphin found? I experience the same thing since the upgrade from Mageia5 to Mageia6, using dolphin under WindowMaker (but it seems to work fine under another account using Plasma). When running from a terminal, there are a lot of QPixmap::scaled: Pixmap is a null pixmap messages, and the very first one is Cannot creat accessible child interface for object: PlacesView(0x1cb3790) index: 28 Interestingly, the folder icons are present in the list of available icons when trying to manually edit the folder icon. But selecting it has no visible effect after that. The only "icons" that appear are the file previews (but not the folder display)
