Comment 4 Rémi Verschelde 2017-03-03 12:40:47 CET
Here's the %post of vcdimager, nothing unusual:

%post
%_install_info vcdimager.info

%preun
%_remove_install_info vcdimager.info

http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/vcdimager/current/SPECS/vcdimager.spec?view=markup

If %_install_info is failing, it shows a bigger issue, /sbin/install-info should be installed before stuff like vcdimager. Assigning to rpmstack devs.

Comment 5 David Walser 2017-03-03 12:42:14 CET
I don't understand the references to p11-kit and iputils, or why libmlt++3 is mentioned, but this should be fixed now.
Comment 6 David Walser 2017-03-03 12:43:14 CET
Well, it still should have had a Requires(post/preun): info-install, but yes usually it would be installed already. The other possibility is a dependency loop, like we have with the similar bug (with glibc in the title).
Comment 7 Rémi Verschelde 2017-03-03 12:44:36 CET
Ah, nice catch. libmlt++3 is just mentioned because I was a bit too eager in my copy pasting the relevant bits of the debug log :)

As I understand it that bug should be fixed in the repos. Sadly not on the current classical ISOs for sta2 though.

It's not a big issue at all though, just doesn't look good.

I got the same error message when I tried to install Plasma from Mageia-6-sta2-x86_64-DVD.iso, and couldn't finish the installation at all.

Is it possible to fix the current ISO? IMHO this bugreport shouldn't be closed as FIXED.

Comment 13 Rémi Verschelde 2017-03-23 14:45:38 CET
It's not possible to fix released ISOs. The fix will come in the next set of ISOs, i.e. 6-RC.
