Thank you reporting Brian and Marja. Volume applet is provided by mate-media package and unfortunately it's not in the iso. To do so, i have add mate-media requires to task-mate-minimal package which is essential for Mate Desktop installation in Classical ISO. I hope this change should fix this problem but we can not be sure until sta2 isos be rebuilt. Brian or any other QA tester please give feedback to this bug report if new sta2 isos presented.
Brian, can this report be closed?
Just ran an install from latest x86_64 classic (sta2) and volume icon was installed by default in mate. Thank You
