Description Leon Goldman 2017-01-23 19:54:40 CET
Description of problem:
GKrellWeather will not accept a new station ID web site

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

GKrellWeather 2.08
How reproducible:
All the time

Steps to Reproduce:
when I open GKrell dialog and go to the GKrellWeather plugin Options page, I am unable to enter a new web site at "Get your station ID at"

Currently I have http://www.nws.noaa.gov/tg/siteloc.shtml. But, NOAA has discontinued that site and it is no longer available. I need to update it to http://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov However, I am unable to enter any new site into the options page.

As noted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/gnu/comments/56wuqb/ann_dropin_replacement_for_grabweather/

the problem is in the script GrabWeather which is found (for me) at /usr/share/gkrellm2/scripts.

It needs to be updated. One is available from https://www.darioniedermann.it/sw/grabweather.php

Download this and extract and make and then replace the existing GrabWeather with this one. Then close GKrellm and reopen it and the new script is working.

Good luck to anyone who has this problem.

Assuming the newer version in Mageia 6 isn't affected, so closing as OLD, because this bug was filed against no longer officially maintained Mageia 5

@ anyone who has hit this issue:

Please reopen this report and change its "Version:" at the top left to "6", if the same bug still exists in Mageia 6.
