+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #14717 +++ Current summary of that report: mirror size is twice the size mentioned by mirror.readme * According to our mirror.readme, the expected mirror size is around 700GB, but twice that size is already needed In bug 14717 it is suggested to move no longer supported versions to an "old" directory, which mirrors won't need to have. Apart from that: * the list of tier 1 mirrors needs to be updated. * imho, it would be nice to add: Check http://mirrors.mageia.org/ for the bandwidth of those servers Check http://mirrors.mageia.org/status for their current status after: > These servers synchronise the tree directly from the Mageia rsync server. * there are some typos (e.g. "Theses servers synchronises") * to the instruction: > The tree must be synchronized at least every 2 hours. a similar line for tier 1 mirrors may need to be added (on IRC pterjan told the maintainer of a new tier 1 mirror to sync at least once an hour and - iirc - preferably twice... more tier 1 mirrors doing that would be really great).
Btw, I can edit that file, I just pushed some typo fixes. I'm willing to the changes suggested above, if you agree!
