Description Charles Edwards 2016-12-24 00:41:47 CET
I use claws-mail and have it configured to use pgp mine to sign all messages.
Prior to gnupg2-2.1.17 this worked flawlessly but since gnupg2-2.1.17 was installed it DOES NOT work at all.
The pinentry-gtk2 dialog opens and accepts the pass phrase when entered but nothing else appears to happen the mail never gets signed and sent.
Claws become unresponsive and kill -9 has to be used to close claws,
CPU usage become high, gpg-agent can not be stopped, other apps become very sluggish, and even usable access to another TTY is impossible.
Can only reboot using the magic keys.

Reverted back to gnupg2-2.0.30-4 and signing mail is back to working properly.

assigning to all packagers collectively, since there is no registered maintainer for gnupg2

Was a Claws configuration error.
Closing bug as invalid.
