Description Renato Dali 2016-12-16 15:46:30 CET
Description of problem:

Every time drakconf is started, its UI does not point to the selected submodule.

In the attached pic, the last module is being used but the selector arrow
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Always, it seems.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In my fully update Mga6 to sta2, I just click on the blue MCC/Drakconf icon.
2.
3.

It's interesting to notice that, after exiting any submodule, Drakconf starts to work as expect, so it's a minor thing.

I just started MCC twice, once in Dutch and once in Brazilian Portuguese with

  LANGUAGE=pt_BR mcc

And both times the arrow was where it should be.

However, when I started MCC a third and fourth time, with

  LANGUAGE=pt_BR mcc

and with

  LC_ALL=C mcc

There was *no* arrow for quite a while, despite switching between tabs (or submodules, as you call them), and all that time the selected tab wasn't highlighted at all, either.

Those errors in the konsole are new to me:

"/usr/sbin/drakmenustyle" is not executable [Menus] at /usr/libexec/drakconf line 829.
"/usr/sbin/drakbackup" is not executable [Backups] at /usr/libexec/drakconf line 829.
"/usr/sbin/tomoyo-gui" is not executable [Tomoyo Policy] at /usr/libexec/drakconf line 829.

This is in Plasma5.

In the journal output, I see the following line right after mcc is started:

dec 17 09:19:50 localhost plasmashell[5046]: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 2 (BadValue), sequence: 56959, resource id: 115343365, major code: 141 (Unknown), minor code: 3

@ Renato

Did you hit this in Plasma5, too, or were you using a different DE?

Summary: At first, drakconf cannot move the selector arrow (pls see pic) => drakconf can have problems displaying the selector arrow and/or highlighting the selected tab.

Those warnings are not new. They have been there ever since the respective applications were dropped.

I'm using Xfce in two of my test machines and LXDE on a third.

The bug was observed in Xfce, if memory serves me right.
